Description:
This is a printed copy of a color photo. In the photo the artist, Kerry Livingston (who is our librarian) is standing next to her creation -- a quilt titled 'Our Story" -- made on the occasion of a book show at the Gallery Route One in Point Reyes Station. It depicts the stories of Point Reyes life in 8 square quilted panels sewn onto dark blue backing material. Panels are from the top left to down: map of Point Reyes and the title; a farm on the green hills and a yellow house; sun shining on 2 chickens on the field with yellowish hill behind; boats in the bay (Tomales); green hills with 2 trees where Holstein cows are eating grass; the bay and the estuary; campfire under the stars and moon-lit sky. Kerry is wearing a blouse with a flowered pattern and dark pants.
