Description:

Ten children of varying age stand in front of the schoolhouse with their teacher. Four of the boys are in overalls, one preppy in knickers, knee socks, and jacket. The teacher has her hand on the shoulder of one of the three younger boys, and two girls are to the teacher's left towards the steps to the porch. The schoolhouse is set against a hillside, is made of horizontal boards with four large sash windows visible.
