This black and white original photograph of Willow Camp Lake, taken by photographer Edgar A. Cohen, shows the lake surrounded by water, grass and willows, with sand dunes beyond and the Pacific Ocean. The rocks at the southern end of the beach are visible in the left mid-ground. The demarcation fence between Rancho Baulenes and Rancho Sausalito runs in front of the rocks, between the ocean and the lake. E.A.Cohen signature is on the lower left corner of the print. See notes.

The Willow Camp Lake was filled in 1950s to make the dirt South parking lot of the park (State then, now GGNRA). It was located where the Easkoot Creek (from the back of the Community Center) emptied to the sea through dunes. The creek was diverted to go through the town (Back of the Post Office) to empty into the lagoon..
