Description:

This color photograph is an aerial view looking across the shoreline of a sand spit with a lagoon on the other side and the land behind rising up to a wooded hill. There is a helicopter at the center of the photo, silhouetted against the hillside. There is a line of houses stretching the length of the sand spit and a few buildings on the other side of the lagoon and part way up the mountain. The sand spit is Seadrift, the water on the ocean side is Bolinas Bay and the lagoon is Bolinas Lagoon.
