Description:
This original, black and white photograph shows a wide stretch of mostly deserted beach (taken from the water towards the hills). Amid the dunes on the right side of the picture can be seen some buildings and more buildings can be seen behind in the foothills beyond. There is the figure of a man standing a short distance from the dunes. He could be with someone but if so he is almost completely blocking the other figure.
Film Size:
35 mm
Medium:
Photographic Paper
Notes:
The building with many windows across the front and a tall flagpole or antenna is Seadowns Restaurant. The building to the left of it is a snack bar connected with the restaurant. To the right of the restaurant can be seen the roof of one of the rental cabins of Seadowns (see #1993-534).
The buildings in the background are mainly homes/summer homes of Stinson Beach residents.
