Description:
A photographic print of Stinson Beach taken from the hills above Highway one looking down on the beach and the lagoon. Attached note (1993-525-02) describes, "Stinson Beach 1931. Lagoon - field and part of State Park parking lot." In this photo the parking lot is still a lake. The note also names the buildings and development shown on the photo (in order of roughly from the foreground to back): Sea Downs Resort (Kent), Dipsea Lodge (Stinson) Fitzhenry operated by the Sadler family, Stewart-Veal Cottage (was at the ocean front of Calle del Pradero), Schoefield, Harlon, McCarthy, Wilson, Henky-Frenchy + Bus driver, stage between Stinson and Sausalito, Upton Camp (far right tents), Pixley (tall, ocean front), Sellmer (tall light one in back?)
