In this black and white photograph six men stand at the foot of the entry steps to a house (Easkoot House). Fire chief Kendrick Rand is second from the left wearing a fire helmet. Behind these men another man is entering the front door of the house. He is carrying something with a long handle (a broom?). The right upper portion of the house is charred and discolored from fire. The window is burnt out and all the glass panes are gone. Some of the glass panes in the other two windows visible are gone also.
