Description:
A black and white photo of hiking group with the old town of Stinson Beach in background. The photo titled By Trail Stinson Beach is written on the lower left of the photograph. Group of 5 hikers is standing on the wide trail leading to the beach by the old Lawrence House next to present Chevalier House (back of GGNRA service road). There are 6 tall fence posts on the west side of the trail which is probably the fence post demarcated between Rancho Sausalito and Ranch Baulines. Twenty or so houses can be seen on the hills beyond the fence posts, including The Anchorage, Airey Hotel. Hiker ladies are wearing long skirts, men are wearing suit jackets. All wear hats.
