Description:
Family members gathered in the backyard of Simmons' cottage, affectionately referred to as "The Mousehole." Two young boys in the foreground - the youngest blond boy sitting in the sand with a bucket while the other is turned towards a girl in a hooded sweatshirt talking to him on the right. She is seated by a card table with food supplies on it. Another young boy with a crewcut and wearing a sweatshirt is casually sitting on the back of the chair behind her. Next to her is a barefoot fellow in dark glasses holding the collar of his windbreaker around his neck. On the left seated on a driftwood bench is a short-haired woman in a cardigan and skirt with clasped hands, and a young blond girl(?) sitting next to her, looking straight ahead. In the center stands a tall man in short-sleeved shirt looking at the kids. Another blond boy is seated in front of him beside another card table with food supplies.
