A print made from color slide. The slide shows Otto Reutinger standing in front of Col. White's wooden sea wall with his hand reaching up to show the level of sand erosion. The sea wall at the end of Calle del Embarcadero was replaced by concrete one after and during the storms of 1982-83.

Otto was a big man, over 6'-0"" tall, perhaps 6'-2". Reutinger, Otto was married to Joan who wrote a history book of Stinson Beach, Memories of Willow Camp. Both became the permanent residents of Stinson after the retirement as the high school teachers at San Diego. Both were active civic readers. Joan also became the reporter of the Coastal Post at its inception.
Col White who were married to Albertine White Reuter was a retired CIA man and the Fire Chief of SBVFD in 1960's and 1970's.
