On the steps of the Sea Beach Hotel six people are lounging in the sun. There is a strong family resemblance. On the top step on the left sits Will Airey and to his right Louise, his wife, with her arm raised in a greeting. To her right is a man wearing a cap. Sitting on the ledge of the porch is a woman and a man and opposite them a younger woman with fair hair. All appear more dressed up than is usual in such pictures at the beach, the men with slacks and open collared shirts. The younger woman has kicked off her shoes and a handbag is sitting in the foreground.
