Charles Howard (Howdy) Allen in his cowboy hat and a plaid shirt in his artist's studio in Stinson Beach. Looking down at his work table, he holds a palette in one hand and a painting implement in the other. There are four paintings visible on the wall behind him as well as a grandfather clock. Three of the paintings are landscapes and the topmost is of 2 airplanes flying down through clouds towards earth.
