Sepia tone portrait of Amos Stinson by Chas. Lainer of (31 Third St.) San Francisco, CA circa 1911. He is a bald man with deep set eyes, long full nose, and bushy but well-trimmed moustache and beard. He is wearing a checkered jacket over an unusual dark neckpiece. The back of the portrait reads LAINER, INSTANTANEOUS Photos, 715 Market St., San Francisco, Cal. It also has numerous circle graphics which say either Mechanics Institute, San Francisco or Industrial Exhibition 1885 - Awarded to CHs Lainer (for Best Photographs, finished in oil & watercolors; Photographs, crayon finish; retouched photographs). In pencil is written Father ... Amos Stinson.
