Description:
An original black and white photograph of the practice drill of Stinson Beach Volunteer Fire Department donated by then volunteer and resident, Douglas Smith. Shows a small cottage on Calle del Sierra burning and 3 firemen are subduing the fire with water. Smoke filles upper left and center of the photo. On the right a house 3 neighbor houses are seen. The burning house has a white picket fence on the side toward the ocean, toward the highway, under the smoke another house could be seen. A hot water heater lays on the ground in front of the house. a fuel can is also sitting in front of the house. On the back of the photo: stamped "This is not a permanent print - For Reproduction Only," May 18, 1968.
