This original black and white photograph depicts five women sitting in a semicircle on a flagstone patio. The women at each end are seated on the ground, the three in the middle are on chairs. All the women are wearing pants; two of them have their pants rolled up to just below the knees, '40s style. They are all working on pieces of driftwood, either sanding or scraping or painting. The women are, from left to right: Mrs. Walter Boland, Mrs. L.C. Greene, Mrs. Robert (Geneva) Reinhardt, Mrs. James (Dorothy) Cunningham and Mrs, James (Lillian) Russell. They are at Lillian Russells home.
