A color photograph of a Volkswagen Beetle painted by Bolinas artists in psychedelic style popular in late 1960's to 70's, the Hippy era and the note (see 2007-110-02) came with it. The colorful car was parked in front of donor, Mary Jones, house. Her house was built on 13 Calle del Sierra on 1969. It is a duplex which units were shared by her sister, Loretta Mayers who sold it in early 1980's and moved to Petaluma with her husband, Kenny. The larger duplex house shown on the photo sits behind the high wooden fence now, and was purchased by Blanche Cerles in 1956 for $17,000.
