Description:
This original black and white photograph shows a section of highway 1 at the south of town. There are 2 cars passing each other, one going away and the other coming towards the camera. To the left of the road are movable barriers and a detour sign. To the right of the road is the side of Kurtz Motel. There is a woman standing to the right of the road. There are two telephone poles in the picture, one in the right foreground and one in the left background. At the base of the left pole are piles of recently moved dirt.
