Description:
A black and white print of a fenced- in area in the foreground with a dirt lane approaching highway 1. A large two story building on the left (Airey's Hotel) faces the photographer with 8 front windows. A split rail fence closes off the field in the center going up the hill. Six other houses are up the hill with some small outbuildings. Two houses have been identified as the Morehead and DeCamp (Algar) houses. The high hills at the top of the print are barren and treeless. The small hill in the center of the picture has some trees, mostly around the houses. There is some rock outcropping.
