The house of Lyman Beacher DeCamp as it is pasted to a page of the album owned by his granddaughter, Martha DeCamp Densmoore.

The basement of this house located at present125 Buena Vista Avenue was used for the first Stinson Beach Post Office. Lyman Beacher DeCamp, the Civil War veteran built this house in 1907. When he retired in 1913, he moved his family to this house. He was successful in bringing the US mails to Willow Camp in 1916 and renamed the town to Stinson Beach. Since he was too old, his 2nd daughter Louise DeCamp became the first post mistress and his first daughter, Alice DeCamp Alger, become the second postmistress in 1922. The post office was moved to present 3462 Shoreline Hwy about that time until 1950s.
