Description:
B&W photographic print taken from a postcard shows downtown Stinson Beach in the 1920s or 1930s. Buildings are clustered at the base of the hillside and ascend uphill. Trees arise out of the ravines, otherwise the hillside is bare. The first building on the right along the dirt road has a Shell sign atop it. The next building has ALGAR's painted on it. To the left of that are the wooden residences. The large 2-story white house in the center has shrubbery and a gate separating it from the road. Telephone lines stretch across the photo between 2 visible telephone poles.
The original postcard has Stinson Beach, Calif. printed in white in the bottom left corner.
