Description:
Wood duck seen in profile painted on an oblong piece of driftwood with a protruding rounded top. Duck has a black head with white stripes in the feathers sticking out from the back and a white patch in a half circle around its eye. Its back is black and its tail is also black striped with white plus a line of white dots where tail meets body. Its neck is a ruddy brown with lighter spots, and ringed at the top and bottom with white. Its underbelly is almost a peach color, its foot is orange, its beak a reddish orange. There is a small blue blotch on its side wingtip. Signed S.F. Boyle
