A black and white photographic print of Steep Ravine cabins and the steep hill to north sloping down to the ocean at a small Red Rock Beach cove where the surf is rushing in. The photograph has April 70 printed on the bottom. On the back of the print, "Donated by Margot Patterson Doss" is stamped and written photo: John Doss. Margot Patterson Doss who went by her maiden name of Margot Patterson was a well known San Francisco Chronicle columnist who wrote of the many nature trails in "Bay Area at Your Feet." Her column and guided tours helped people discover the many secrets of nature that can be found in the Bay Area by simply walking. She and her medical doctor husband, John Doss, owned a house in Bolinas and later retired there.
