This is a biography of the California painter who resided in Steep Ravine with his painter wife. It includes 22 reproductions of their paintings and 3 photographs: Thaddeus, Ludmilla, and Thaddeus with his friend, John Twachtman. Thaddeus was born in Indiana in 1844; Ludmilla was born in New York in 1867. They were married in 1883. Book traces their life to become painters of pastoral California paintings.
