An original black and white photograph shows an expanse of wet sand, reflecting clouds and rocks, behind which is a rocky coastline. The rocks in the foreground are at the south end of Stinson Beach and the headland behind is that of lower Steep Ravine. Along the horizon to the right of the headland can be dimly seen the coastline south of San Francisco.
