Summary:
This is the exhibition catalogue for the same titled show at the Bolinas Museum by the artists Robert Hudson, Cornelia Schulz, Martha Shaw and Richard Shaw. The show was held at the museum April 21 to June 18, 1995. Martha & Richard Shaw lived and worked at the old White Gate Ranch for many years. In 1985 the ranch was leased and operated by Rick Solano who lived in San Rafael but came to tend his black angus cows every day. The curator of the show was Susan Royce, who also wrote the text, "Recreating the White Gate Ranch," with introduction by Linda Samuels. The preface was written by the consulting curator, George Neubert. The artists had to vacate the buildings when Golden Gate National Recreation Area took it over. Robert Hudson, Cornelia Schulz and Richard Shaw went on to become nationally known artists while Martha Shaw remained in the home to take care of children.
