In this black and white photograph a man and a woman (Ruth Miller) stand facing the camera with a crowd of people (many in costume) a few feet behind them. The woman, on the left, is wearing a grass skirt and paper leis over her sleeveless blouse. She has bobbed hair and wears glasses and is grinning at the camera. The man, on the right, is holding a Japanese parasol and is wearing a kimono and a conical hat with tassels hanging down the sides. They are holding hands with their hands held high and arms bent at the elbow. They are in front of Airey's store.
