The figures from left to right are that of an old man with moustache and wearing a cap, a young woman with dark hair, a woman with light hair with a young girl behind her and a girlchild in front of her, an old woman in black and a man with a cap and a black moustache behind her. It appears to be a family portrait spanning three generations. The hillside is seen in the foreground and background with some trees directly behind the family.
