Black and white photograph (from a slide) of Judge Archibald Upton with his grandson, Charles R. Upton, as a toddler. The Judge is sitting on a rocky outcropping on the dry, grassy ground at the top of Airey's Hill in Stinson Beach. He wears a dark suit and shoes, tie, and brimmed hat with dark headband, and glasses. His grandson is semi-sitting on his knee but looks squirmy with one leg slightly raised and one hand on his grandfather's jacket. He's chubby, with short medium colored hair, wearing a long-legged, short-sleeved jumpsuit. A road runs behind them with another road going straight off into the distance, on the sides of which are a telephone pole and a white house.
