Single woman on the beach with the receding tide and the hills in the background. The Bay has one far distant visible boat with what appears to be three people in it. The woman has a long middy blouse over bloomers coming to her bare knees. She wears a sunhat that shades her face down to her nose. Her left arm is down at her side and her right is bent so a pouch of some sort can hang from it and she holds in her hand--possibly some beach treasure--a sand dollar?
