In this black and white photograph we see a dark haired man, Dr. Newman, in three quarter view wearing a shirt and a pin-striped jacket, seated and gazing up at the camera. He has a twinkle in his eye and a bottle of whiskey in each hand. (see notes)

Photograph of first weekend Doctor in Stinson Beach. Dr. Newman hiked over from 1918-1960 and was the only Doctor here on Saturdays. He was always willing to help anyone and liked to hike the Dipsea Trail. Died at age 90.
