Description:
Rocky cliff held at the bottom by planks to which are bolted upright large stakes--a groin structure meant to hold back erosion from the tides or storms. A bit of beach shows with a few rocks from the crumbling cliff. In the lower right rear of the photograph there appears to be the remains of an already destroyed groin.
