Description:
Family of 5 sits on the beach. L. to R. a fair-haired child, Billie, sits on his father's (Earl) knee; a dark-haired and very tan-looking Earl; wife Dorothy Foster Thomson in dotted dress and long cardigan and short, bobbed hair; son Dave in striped sweater and shorts holding a shovel upright in the sand; and cousin Marna in dark sweater, short white skirt and bare feet. Beyond them is a row of identical houses with A-frame roofs and single white door with 4 small windows centered in the upper part of the door.
