Description:
A large group of people, known collectively as the "Anchorage Crowd," sit on the stoop in front of Airey's Corner Store. The back of the photo identifies the place as "Airey's Store, Stinson Beach. Left = Mr. Caltoft - Pop Stelling / Front-rt = Ruth Miller." So perhaps the man seated apart on the left holding a baseball bat is Pop Stelling. He is also wearing a hat. The only woman seated in the front row (beside a younger girl) would be Ruth Miller. She is wearing glasses, knee socks and dark dress. Another man and young boy are seated in the front row. Behind them are (8) men and women of different ages, most smiling happily. One man is making fun with his hands on his temples and fingers splayed out.
