Description:
B&W photo shows a number of surfers (maybe 5 or 6) with their boards lined up and ready to go into the surf. Only the first surfer is visible and he is dressed in black trunks and white t-shirt. There is a bit of a crowd of onlookers visible along the waters edge and more, not so visible, on the beach on the far side of the surfers. Also visible at the far right is a man holding a gun up in the air to signal the start of the race. Farther down the beach can be seen the roofs of houses on the beach and the outline of Bolinas Mesa. It seems to be hazy conditions.
