In this black and white photograph a man in a shirt with rolled up sleeves is sitting on a bench holding up a large fish. Next to him is a little boy in keds and a short sleeve shirt. Behind them are dry goods and some bottles and jars on a shelf. The man is Alfred Pierre "Frenchy" Gales, the boy is his step-grandson, Michael Griffin, and the fish is a striped bass.
