People - Individuals and Families "G & H" :

While we honor everybody in these photographs, we would like to draw particular attention to some historically significant figures in this exhibit. Frenchy Gales was known as the "colorful" character for his adventures. He was a stage driver, a Golden Gate Bridge construction worker, and was married to Marge Airey after Frank Airey's death. We have his oral history. Long time resident Hatty Green was the first secretary of SBCWD and community leader. Eltin Hubbard was the first Community Center Inc. president. Lillian (Stinson) Hensill was one of the donors of the land parcels where the Stinson School and Stinson Beach Community Center complex stand and she was one of Stinson Daughters. Joe Heidel was responsible for many houses in this town but never built his own. Roger Hurt, lawyer, was a long time president of the Village Association and community leader. We have oral histories of Ed Harper, Gertrude Helfrich.
